It’s the last day of 2023! 🪅 To celebrate, we highlight research on the relationship between bilingualism and working memory, brought to us by our fantastic undergraduate research assistant @amandap._.feng 🌟


Working memory plays an integral role in language processing and learning. Folks who are learning two languages often have more demands placed on their working memory as a result of the constant need to inhibit and switch between languages - however, these demands can be beneficial in the long run, resulting in increased working memory capacity.
