Dr. Arizmendi was awarded an HSI Faculty Seed Grant from the University of Arizona!

Summer update # 2 : Dr. Arizmendi was awarded an HSI Faculty Seed Grant from the University of Arizona 🥳 This work is focused on creating and implementing a culturally-responsive and sustainable educational curriculum and program for high school students in Southern Arizona.📚

The program will be focused on learning about careers in speech, language, and hearing sciences (speech-language pathologists and audiologists), bilingualism and cultural experiences, and transitions into higher education as students who are often first-generation, students of color. We are so thankful for our current high school partners (more to come on this!!) and look forward to begin this fall! 🤩
