Ways to Help your Child Become Multilingual

Feliz viernes! ☀️ Today, our fantastic undergraduate research assistant @aandreaalc shares some ways you can bring in another language to every day activities!

You don’t need special or fancy games, tools, or devices to make a big impact on your child’s emerging bilingualism. Any activity can be a bilingual activity!

For example: With books, you don’t need to read the story - you can talk about the pictures on the page and what the people or the things are doing “WOW!! I see a bird in the tree… ves el pajarito aquí!? The bird is blue!! The bird flaps its wings like this when it flies! Me puedes enseñar cómo vuela? Ok let’s see what’s on the next page!! Turn the page! What do you see?”
